This 1962 Ford Thunderbird is one of approximately 17 convertibles that came powered from the factory by an M-code 390ci V8 equipped with triple two-barrel carburetors for the model year. The car is finished in Rangoon Red over black crinkle leather, and additional equipment includes a Cruise-O-Matic three-speed automatic transmission, a power-retractable white soft top, a fiberglass tonneau cover, 14″ wire wheels, dual exhaust outlets, power windows, a swing-away steering column, an AM radio, a MagicAire heater/defroster, power-adjustable seats, and power steering. It was acquired as a project by the current owner in 2018 and was refurbished over the next four and a half years, with work that included a repaint, a reupholstered interior, and a rebuild of the rear end, chassis, and suspension. This Thunderbird is now offered on dealer consignment with a plaque from the Thunderbird Club International and Connecticut registration.
